Planets Speeding
This poem was written as War Poetry (Week 3) homework. I am not too proud of it and I think it could be better. It features a four syllable refrain (In poetry, a refrain is a word, line or phrase that is repeated within the lines or stanzas of the poem itself), which is 'Planets speeding'-the name of my poem!
How Big Are We?
The picture of the Laniakea looks a bit like a feather. The red dot is the Milky Way and there are thousands of millions of Laniakeas that make up the universe. I also wrote this before I started my Mum's classes so my syllables are not all exactly regular. It has seven stanzas and also an ABAB rhyme structure that is broken in the last stanza. However, I do think that the regularity of rhyme in most of the stanzas reflects the organisation and structure of the universe, so I think the poems rhyme structure symbolises the order of the universe.
