Believe... A Sonnet

Believe... A Sonnet
This nonsense poem that I wrote follows the pattern of a Shakespearean Sonnet.* I'm afraid I did break Iambic Pentameter (Pentameter means "consisting of five measures" and iambic is the rhythm which words in the line are measured, in small groups of syllables called "feet") in every verse though! This is the first sonnet I've ever written. I did it as a homework piece for poetry. It was quite difficult but I also enjoyed it. I used an ABAB rhyme pattern as used in a classic Shakespearean Sonnet.
*A sonnet is a poem with 14 lines that has a particular structure. In a Shakespearean sonnet, the first line rhymes with its 3rd line, its 2nd line with its 4th line and so on. This set of four lines is called a quatrain. The last two lines are a couplet (a pair of rhyming lines).
